So far this season, Tonosaki has played in 23 games, going 10-At Bat-62 with a hit average of .161, 1 Home Run, 5 RBI, and 1 stolen base, showing a slump.

Since 2017, the only year Tonosaki didn't play in more than 100 games was 2021, when he only played in 73 games. This season, he underwent back surgery in April and was sidelined, but returned to the first team on June 27.
