Seibu Lions, Takumi Kuriyama, outfielder (42), who has announced his retirement at the end of this season, will see his first book, *Shishi Kanchaku: The Lions—25 Years Dedicated to the Pursuit of the Ideal Swing* (KADOKAWA; 1,980 yen, tax included), published on September 26. Pre-orders began on the 3rd.

Kuriyama joined Seibu Lions in the fourth round of the 2001 draft. He has been playing for Seibu Lions for 25 years since then, earning the nickname "Mr. Leo." In 2021, he became the first player to reach 2000 hit as a homegrown player for the team. He has been loved by fans for his high level of professionalism and sincere personality.

Kuriyama, whose retirement game will be against Rakuten Eagles on August 30th (Belluna Dome), has written a book in which he candidly recounts his baseball career, divided into 10 chapters.
