Orix Buffaloes pitcher Soichiro Yamazaki gave up the go-ahead run in the 7th inning.

He came in as the second hit in this inning with a one-run lead. After one out, he allowed Hiruma to reach second base on an infield single, and then gave up a game-tying doble to left-center field to An-Ko Lin.

At this point, manager Mamoru Kishida requested a review to determine whether runner on first base, Hiruma, had touched third base. However, the ruling was not overturned.

Yamazaki was still in a tight spot with one out and a runner on third. He got the next batter, Nevin, to ground out to third, but third baseman ・Mune’s hit to home plate throw was not fielded by catcher ・Wakatsuki catch (recorded as an error by Wakatsuki), allowing the opposing team to take the lead.
