On Sunday, August 9th, AKB48 will be making an appearance at Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Orix Buffaloes game at Zozo Marine Stadium. During the "BLACK SUMMER WEEK supported by Coolish" event, AKB48 will perform a song and throw the ceremonial first pitch before the game, and will also appear in inning events. In addition, member Kisei Sato will be returning as a "BSW Special Reporter" to liven up the stadium, just as she did last year.

Under the overall production of Yasushi Akimoto, the group started its activities in December 2005 with the concept of "idols you can meet," based at the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara, Tokyo. Last December, they celebrated their 20th anniversary and entered their 21st year. Their 67th single, "Nagori Sakura," topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart for the 54th consecutive time. Their 68th single, "Sukiish," is scheduled to be released on August 19th. Momoka Ito will be center fielder for the second consecutive time, following her role in the previous single.
