◆ Seibu Lions Pacific League: Seibu vs. Orix Buffaloes (31st, Belluna Dome)

At Belluna Dome, the home stadium of Seibu Lions, a rare incident occurred where a game was interrupted for about two minutes due to an insect flying in.

In the bottom of the ninth inning with the score tied and two outs, Seibu Lions 's Hirasawa fouled off the sixth pitch. Suddenly, a rather large insect stuck to him and wouldn't let go. Hirasawa made a gesture of shaking it off with his bat, then ran to the third base dugout to shake it off completely and returned to batter’s box safely.

Incidentally, in a game against Rakuten Eagles on April 26th (at Rakuten Eagles Mobile Saikyo Park Miyagi), Seibu Lions 's game was interrupted in the 10th extra inning when a pigeon flew in. They then went on to score three runs to take the lead.
