Nippon-Ham Ryota Isobata outfielder (27) congratulated his alma mater, Sano Nihon University (Tochigi), on qualifying for the summer for the first time in 16 years. After checking the results following the game, he sincerely praised his younger teammates, saying, “I really think the summer tournament is special, and since I wanted to play in it myself, I’m incredibly happy.” Koshien

His juniors won extra inning tiebreaker against Kokugakuin Tochigi and secured their ticket to Koshien, and he praised them while reflecting on his own high school days, saying, "When I was in high school, I experienced many games where it was really close whether we could win or lose, so I feel happy and respectful for my juniors who were able to win in those situations. It's amazing that they're able to go to the summer tournament. I think the summer tournament is the culmination of all the hard work they've put in. I'm envious."
