On the third pitch from two balls against Takeuchi, he caught a fastball with his first swing of the day. The ball soared high and then went straight to the right side of the back screen. With his 15th solo homer, Masaki took the lead, and Masaki said, "It's a good pitcher, so I just went to bat and actively swing to create chances.
