Seibu Lions outfielder Junichiro Kishi congratulated his alma mater, Meitoku Gijuku High School, on the 25th, as they secured their 24th appearance in the Summer Koshien tournament, their first in two years.

Kishi played in Koshien four times, both in spring and summer, while attending the school. He offered words of encouragement to his juniors, saying, "I hope you win as many games as possible. I reached the semi-finals, so I hope you can go even further and aim for the championship. Be careful not to get heatstroke."
