◆ Seibu Lions Pacific League: Seibu vs. Softbank Hawks (25th, Belluna Dome)
Seibu Lions ・ Sosuke Genda infielder sent a congratulatory message to his alma mater, Oita Commercial High School, which qualified for the summer Koshien for the first time in 13 years, saying, “Congratulations. Since I’ve never competed in the Koshien myself, I hope you enjoy it.”
Genda joined Seibu Lions in 2016 as the third overall pick in the draft, after playing for Oita Commercial High School, Aichi Gakuin University, and Toyota Motor Corporation. So far this season, he has played in 75 games, batting .206 with 34 hit, 1 Home Run 16 RBI.
