Orix Buffaloes pitcher Naruki Teranishi left the game after four innings, runs three hit and strike out six. In the first inning, with one out, he gave up a solo home run to Yamaguchi to give his team the lead. In the second inning, immediately after his team's offense tied the game, he gave up a solo home run to the leadoff batter and then another solo home run to center field to give his team the lead. He retired the side in order in the third inning.
In the fourth inning, with one out, Soto and Ueda gave up consecutive Walk, putting runners on first and second in trouble. Even so, he retired Yamamoto and Ogawa with consecutive swing-and-misses struck out, failing to score any runs.
From the fifth inning, the second pitcher, Miyakuni, took mound. Teranishi made his first start since the game Seibu Lions on April 16th (Kyocera Dome Osaka) and recorded a top speed of 152 km/h, but was unable to secure his fourth win.
