In the 6th inning with no outs and a runner on first base, with the score 7-1, he hit a 112 km/h curveball from Ueda into the left field stands for his 18th home run, a two-run shot. This is the first time a player for the team has achieved this feat since Brandon Laird in 2017, and the first time a Japanese player has done so since Sho Nakata in 2014.

Achieving this at the age of 26 years and 3 months surpasses Yukio Tanaka's record of 26 years and 8 months in 1994, making him the fourth youngest to achieve this feat in the team's history.
