Nippon-Ham pitcher Kota Tatsu was forced to leave the game in an emergency during his start against the Yomiuri Giants' The Giants league team.
In the fifth inning with two Walk, after walking Minagawa, he showed signs of discomfort in his right leg. He called over the trainer himself and went back to the dugout.
After the game, he walked off the field on his own. It appears he suffered a leg cramp. He had initially planned to pitch around five inning, and left mound after throwing 85 pitches, giving up four hit and two runs.
Tatsu has been reassigned from reliever to starting pitching and is expected to start the second half of the season against Lotte on the 31st (at Escon Stadium).
