◆ Pacific League: Softbank Hawks vs. Orix Buffaloes (22nd, Mizuho PayPay Stadium)

Orix Buffaloes and Daiki Tajima pitcher advanced to mound in the sixth inning with the score at 2-16, sixth in the sixth inning. Imamiya flied out to center for the lead. Kurihara hit his second solo home run of the game over the center field. Yanagimachi then flew to left, and Yu Yamamoto grounded out to third. He allowed another run.

He joined the team as the first overall pick in the 2017 draft, and on May 6th against the Lotte Marines (Kyocera Dome Osaka), he achieved his 50th career win. The left-handed pitcher, in his ninth year in NPB, had started every game, but in his 149th game, he experienced his first relief appearance.
