◆ Pacific League: Softbank Hawks vs. Orix Buffaloes (22nd, Mizuho PayPay Stadium)

Orix Buffaloes pitcher Raiku Katayama was forced to leave the game after throwing only 13 pitches. The right-hander, in his second year as a professional, was making his second start of the season, following his appearance against Rakuten Eagles on the 15th (at Rakuten Eagles Mobile Saikyo Park Miyagi). However, in the first inning, immediately after his team had a one-run lead, he allowed a single to Masaki, the leadoff Walk, and then walked Shuto, putting runners on first and second base.

Kondo followed with a game-tying RBI single to right field. With runners on first and third and no outs, Kurihara hit a go-ahead doble to left field.

At this point, manager Kishida quickly decided to switch to the second pitcher, Hiroshi. This was the second time this month that a starting pitcher had been removed from the game without recording a single out, following Sato Ichi in the game against Nippon-Ham on the 2nd (ES CON FIELD).
