Seibu Lions Lions pitcher Yuta Nakamura earned his first win in his third year with Seibu Lions.

In the first bullpen day since manager Nishiguchi took over 25 years ago, he pitched as the second reliever from the third inning. In the third inning, he allowed runners on second and third with one out, but got Kurokawa to fly out to shortstop and Tatsumi to ground out to first base, escaping the inning without runs. He finished the fourth inning with three up, three down. He left mound after two innings, having allowed one hit and no runs.

For the right-handed pitcher who was drafted from Hiroshima in the 2023 offseason, this was his first win in six years since 2020. "I'm happy. Since I became reliever pitcher, I can't earn wins myself. I think they just come along. I'm glad that I got the win as a result of closer," he said with a shy smile.

Yu Nakamura has appeared in 15 games so far, recording a stable record of 1 win, 0 losses, 2 hold, and ERA of 1.42, and is a reliever player in the bullpen.
