Orix Buffaloes pitcher Shota Abe has been removed from the active roster. He had struggled at the start of the season, giving up a total of 5 runs in 2 games, but was called up to the first team for the third time this season on July 14. He made relief appearances in 4 of the 5 games, and did not give up any runs in any of them.

From this day forward, Saito, a right-handed pitcher in his fourth year out of high school who is also capable of long relief appearances, was added to the active roster. It appears that he was removed from the roster due to team circumstances, and will now wait for another opportunity.
