On the 17th, Orix Buffaloes unveiled the visuals for their summer poster campaign, "King of Duos." This campaign, which was first implemented in 2023 and received a great response from fans, is making a comeback after three years. All 38 members, including players, managers, coaches, and team staff, will appear as "duos" inspired by stand-up comedians.

Manager Mamoru Kishida, Yoshihisa Hirano pitcher and his fellow 2005 draft classmate who also serves as a coach, reign as “Boss & Don.” True to their status as close allies, they are introduced as “masters at guiding the team to win.” Additionally, his father, Akira—who serves as Ryo Ota infielder and batting coach pitcher—teams up with his son as “Tamaru-Pamaru.”“I’m in top form today,” he says in a comical promotional message.

In addition, the same-grade duos—Keita Nakagawa, infielder, and Yuma Mune, infielder—will return as “Mutteppeki” following their appearance in 2023. Masato Matsui, who has transitioned from player to battery coach, will also reunite with Taishi Hirooka infielder—with whom he’s often compared for their striking resemblance—to form “Kagemusha,” just as they did in 2023.
