Rakuten Eagles 's outfielder Ryosuke Tatsumi had a spectacular performance, going 4-At Bat-4 at hit, including his 8th home run of the season, his second in as many games.

Both of his home runs in two consecutive games were hit to the opposite field. Manager Yoshii praised him, saying, "They were home run to the opposite field, just like Shohei Ohtani's. I said Shohei, didn't I? (laughs) It was a nice hit." When Tatsumi heard about this, he joked, "I think I'm a Shohei Ohtani without the power. I thought I had power, but after seeing McCusker I've lost my confidence."

Tatsumi, known as the "Summer Man," typically performs best during the summer months. "I guess only God knows. I've actually been from the future once, but I still don't know. I might like summer, though. More than winter. I like it more than the cold," he said in his characteristic style, drawing laughter from the audience.
