Rakuten Eagles Eagles outfielder Ryosuke Tatsumi hit a home run in his second consecutive game.

In the bottom of the third inning with two outs and trailing by one run, Tatsumi connected with a cut cutter down the middle thrown by Katayama. The ball made a resounding crack and flew into the left-center field stands. It was his eighth home run of the season, his second in as many games, and tied the game.

In that game, Rakuten Eagles 's starting pitcher was Kenta Maeda, who took mound aiming for his 100th career win in NPB.
