Nippon-Ham 's catcher, Yuya Gunji, had a scary moment when he was hit by Hit by Pitch near the head.

In the second inning, with one out and a runner on third base, Softbank Hawks 's starting pitcher Uwasawa threw breaking ball that went towards Gunji, a right-handed batter, near his head. As he ducked to avoid it, the ball grazed his back and hit helmet. Gunji put both hands on his knees, took some time to stand up, and then answered the trainer's questions clearly.

Meanwhile, umpire gathered to discuss whether it was a dangerous pitch, but decided it was not. Gunji went back to ground with his trainer, but when he returned to the field, he was greeted with loud applause and cheers.
