Following his selection in 2025 through fan and player voting, this marks his second consecutive appearance on the dream stage. "I am genuinely happy to have been selected," he said, expressing his gratitude.

In his eighth professional season, he has played in 68 games as the starting second baseman. He has batted cleanup in a team-high 44 games, and has posted consistent results with a batting average of .278, 5 Home Run, and 31 RBI.

Last season, he recorded his first All hit off Chunichi 's Matsuba. He has set a high goal for himself, saying, "At last year's All-Star game, I was the only one from Orix Buffaloes team who didn't hit home run, so I want to hit one this year."

Interacting with players from opposing teams, something you don't normally get to do, is a unique experience on this dream stage. "So many amazing hitter have been selected, so I'd like to hear their stories, and I want to enjoy the All-Star atmosphere while playing in my own style," he said enthusiastically.
