◆ Pacific League Softbank Hawks 3-0 Rakuten Eagles (12th, Mizuho PayPay Stadium)

Rakuten Eagles 's pitcher, Tatsuki Koja, started against Softbank Hawks and gave up 6 hit 3 runs in 6 innings, suffering his sixth loss of the season.

After recovering from discomfort in his upper body, he made his first appearance on the first team in about three weeks. In the first inning, with one out and runners on first and third, he gave up an RBI single to Kurihara, conceding the first run. In the third inning, with one out and a runner on first, he gave up a two-run homer to Kurihara to right field, extending the lead.

After that, he pitched tenaciously, going 6 inning for 6 strike out. He managed to win the game, but it was not his first win in about two months. Koja reflected, "I couldn't use the pace well in the first half. I don't think the ball I hit was on bad course, so I wish I had delayed my timing a bit. From the 5th inning onward, I was able to pitch at my own pace, so next time I pitch, I'll adjust to be able to start from the very first inning."
