In the second inning, with no outs and runners on first and second base, Gunji hit a timely doble the left field line to score the first run, and then Nomura and Tamiya hit consecutive sacrifice fly to score three runs in the same inning.
In the third inning, with two outs and a runner on first base, Manami hit a timely doble to left-center field. Reyes sprinted from first base to score, adding another run to the score.
In the fifth inning, after giving up two runs, Miyazaki hit his first professional home run, a solo shot over left field, followed by Mizuno's sixth solo home run over right field. Then, with one out and runners on first and third after Manami's doble the right field line and Yoshida's single to center field, Gunji's hit to second base resulted in an error by the opposing team, allowing the seventh run to score, at which point Takahashi Hikaru left mound.
Nippon-Ham had 8 hit 7 runs by the 5th inning, effectively scoring runs with 6 extra-base hits.
