Orix Buffaloes suffered a come-from-behind loss, dropping them to fifth place. This was their fourth consecutive loss against Lotte. pitcher staff couldn't hold on, giving up eight runs.

Starting pitcher Tajima was pulled after 1 1/3 innings, having given up 3 runs. The left-hander, who was on a three-game losing streak before the game, is in a difficult situation, as this was the third time in his last four games that he failed to complete five innings.

In the sixth inning, with a one-run lead, fourth pitcher Iwasaki gave up the tying run and was removed from the game after recording only one out.
