The final results of the player voting for the "Mynavi All-Star Game 2026" (July 28th at Tokyo Dome, 29th in Toyama) were announced on the 9th, and Seibu Lions Lions infielder Natsuo Takizawa will be selected for second baseman position, and infielder Tyler Nevin for first baseman position. Nevin will be making his first appearance, while Takizawa will be making his second All-Star appearance in two consecutive years, following his selection last year as a manager's recommendation.

Nevin, in his second year in Japan this season, was delayed due to discomfort in his left side and joined the first team on May 1st. So far this season, he has played in 43 games, with a batting average of .278, 44 hit, 11 Home Run, and 28 RBI.

Through the team, he vowed, "I am very happy to have been selected by player vote, and to have been recognized by the respected players I have competed against in the past. I watched last year's All-Star game on TV, and I was very impressed not only by the matches between top-class players, but also by how much fun everyone seemed to be having playing. I am looking forward to interacting with players I don't usually have the chance to talk to Central League. It is a special stage that is different from regular season, but I will do my best to enjoy myself to the fullest and carry that momentum into the second half of the season."
