On the 8th, the Nippon baseball Organization announced the winners of the "Daiju Life Monthly MVP Award" for June. In Central League, Haruto Takahashi (Hanshin Tigers) won pitcher award for the third consecutive month and the third time overall, while Shota Morishita (Hanshin Tigers) won hitter award for the first time. In Pacific League League, Koki Kitayama (Nippon-Ham) won pitcher award for the first time, while Franmil Reyes (Nippon-Ham) won the hitter award for the third time, the first time since July 2013.
Takahashi received the award for the third consecutive month, achieving a first for pitcher in Central League. In June, he started four games, compiling a 4-0 record with ERA of 2.25.
Morishita started in all 18 games as the third hitter, and posted league-leading statistics with a batting average of .359, Home Run, a slugging percentage of .734, an on-base percentage of .468, and a batting average with runners in scoring position of .667.
Kitayama made four starts, pitching 29 2/3 innings, including two complete game (one of which was shutout game), and boasted an outstanding presence with a league-leading four wins and ERA of 0.91.
Reyes recorded a league-leading batting average of .400, Home Run, a slugging percentage of .914, an on-base percentage of .482, a league-leading 18 RBI, and second-place 28 hit.
This marks the first time since May 2023—when pitcher and Takayuki Kato, as well as hitter and Chusei Mannami, were named to the All-Star teams—that a player has been named to both the pitching and hitting All-Star teams from Nippon-Ham.
