Seibu Lions 's pitcher Hibiki Shinohara, gave up the go-ahead hit in the 10th inning with the score extra inning 2-2, ending their first winning streak in July. They also missed out on their first series win in five series.

The gap between them and third-place Nippon-Ham has been eliminated, and from the 10th they will travel to ES CON FIELD for a three-game direct confrontation.
