In the bottom of the 7th inning with two outs and runners on second and third base, Softbank Hawks 's pinch hitter Yanagita hit a three-run homer to right field, his 10th of the season. This was his first time being left out of the starting starting line-up in July, and his first home Home Run in his 16-year professional career. He had been hitless in four at-At Bat as hit pinch hitter this season, but he showed a perfect swing.
