The final results of the fan vote for the “Mynavi All-Star Game 2026” (July 28 at Tokyo Dome, July 29 in Toyama) were announced on the 7th. For the Lotte team, reliever pitcher was selected in the Shota Suzuki pitcher (27) category, second baseman was selected in the Ryusei Ogawa infielder (28) category, and outfielder was selected in the Misho Nishikawa outfielder (23) category.
This marks the first time in four years that three or more players from the Lotte Marines have been selected for the All-Star Game through fan voting, the last being Roki Sasaki (starter), Ko Matsukawa (catcher), and Brandon Laird (DH) in 2022.
In his sixth season this year, Suzuki has recorded 5 wins, 0 losses, 1 save, 21 hold, and ERA of 3.04 in 28 games. "I never thought I would be selected by fan vote, so I would like to thank all the fans who voted for me. This will be my second All-Star appearance, and I was the one who was inspired by watching the All-Stars, so I would like to play in a way that will give dreams back to others, and I hope to show a strong pitching performance," he vowed.
