◆ Pacific League Softbank Hawks 3-2 Lotte (3rd, Mizuho PayPay Stadium)

Lotte lost a close game to Softbank Hawks on the road, ending their two-game winning streak. Their lead in the standings is now one game.

Starting pitcher Koshichiro Hiroike pitched seven innings, allowing six hit and three runs (two earned), fulfilling his duties. He threw 112 pitches and strike out six, showing a spirited performance against the young Hawks, but it was his fourth loss of the season.

Trailing by one run in the fourth inning, the offense tied the game, and with two outs and a runner on second, Ryusei Ryusei Terachi gave them a temporary lead. However, they were overtaken in the bottom of the inning. From the fifth inning onward, they were unable to score and failed to break through The Hawks' formidable pitcher staff.

After the game, manager Saburo commented, "It was good, but if I were to be picky, it's a little disappointing that we conceded points after scoring and that we fell behind," pointing out the challenges that come with high expectations.

He then added, "But he threw 112 pitches. It helped his future growth and allowed the reliever pitcher to rest. I think it was good. To take another step up, if he can closer the most of the opportunities he gets, then he'll be perfect."
