◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham 9-1 Orix Buffaloes (August 2nd, ES CON FIELD)
Nippon-Ham Kohei Arihara pitcher became the 144th player in history to reach 100 career wins in NPB.
In the first inning, with two outs, Nishikawa hit his fourth solo home run over the right field, giving up the lead. However, the lineup took the lead with four consecutive Home Run from the start, and after adding more runs, he pitched tenaciously from the second inning onward. Despite giving up runner, he finished with 6 hit 1 runs in the 6th inning, earning his second win of the season since April 5.
Although he has already recorded three wins in MLB, this was his milestone 100th career win in NPB. "I allowed the first run with home run, but the offense quickly came back to support me, which made it very easy to pitch. I don't remember ever seeing four consecutive home runs, so I was really surprised. I'm also grateful to Shindo for his excellent leadership," he commented.
