▼ Hideki Kuriyama, Chief Baseball Officer

"I asked for permission to create a base in Hokkaido to nurture people. We were truly touched by the support we received from so many people in Hokkaido's municipalities and the people of Hokkaido, and it gave us strength. Hokkaido is a place to be proud of on a global scale, and I believe we can showcase its appeal to the world even more. If we can nurture the most important thing, "people," at our new base, then the organization and the team will continue to win. What we can do is create an environment for the next generation. I believe that people don't get nurtured, they grow on their own. We have been able to come this far with the help of many people. I am truly grateful for the feelings of those who have said, "We want you to come and work for us." We will continue to do our best. We would appreciate your continued support."
