Nippon-Ham outfielder Franmil Reyes complained of pain near his left heel after hitting a single to right field in the third inning and was substituted out as a precaution. He was replaced by a pinch hitter in the fifth inning.

Reyes' heel pain has been a source of concern throughout the season. Manager Shinjo said, "When he hit a single to right field, he felt something. He said his foot was a little off. It's not that bad, but he just needs to lose weight (laughs). But I think he'll be fine tomorrow."
