Hokkaido Nippon-Ham are keeping an eye on their second-round draft pick, rookie Kane Edokpolo. So far this season, he has hit 13 Home Run, tied for the most in the entire division, and against the Tohoku Rakuten Eagles, he has 8 hit in 28 At Bat-bats, for a batting average of .286. He was promoted to the first team for the first time in May, but went hitless in 10 At Bat hit over 4 games and was removed from the roster that same month. He will be looking to further improve his consistency in order to return to the first team stage.

On the other hand, Tohoku Rakuten Eagles will be looking to Takaya Tanaka. Last season, he played in only 12 games for the first team, but he spent most of the season with the first team, supporting the team from the bench. However, this season he has yet to get a chance to be promoted to the first team. Nevertheless, he is currently on a four-game hit. There is fierce competition for a regular spot on the first team, but can he continue to impress both offensively and defensively in order to break into the competition?
