Nippon-Ham infielder Kotaro Kiyomiya was hit in the left knee area by a batted ball during the 8th defense and had to leave the game.

In the bottom of the 8th inning with one out, Orix Buffaloes 's Yamanaka hit a sharp line drive that took a slightly irregular bounce and struck Kiyomiya Yuki near his left knee. Kiyomiya Yuki doubled over in pain and tried to stand up, but was unable to. He was escorted off the field by a trainer and was subsequently replaced.

According to a team executive, he did not go to the hospital for the bruise and received ice treatment. His participation in games from July 1st onwards will be decided based on his condition on the day.
