◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham 9-2 Orix Buffaloes (30th, ES CON FIELD)

Nippon-Ham won their third consecutive game, bringing their win-loss record to 10 games above .500 for the first time this season.

In the first inning, with two outs and runners on first and second base, Nippon-Ham scored two runs with consecutive RBI singles to center field by Yoshida and Castro. After being tied by Kurebayashi's 10th home run of the season, the 2-run homer, Nippon Ham regained the lead in the second inning with an RBI single to center field by Mizutani with no outs and runners on first and third base.

In the third inning, Yoshida hit his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot to right field, his fourth in the last four games, to add another run. Then, after Castro Hit by Pitch by a pitch and Kiyomiya Yuki hit a double to left-center field, doble on second and third with one out, Shindo hit a ground ball to third base, allowing a crucial fifth run to score. In the seventh inning, Mizuno hit his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot to right field, to add two more runs and seal the victory.

On the pitching side, starting pitcher Kitayama gave up one home run but pitched well, allowing only three hit and two runs over six innings. This was his seventh consecutive win and his eighth win of the season, putting him in perfect form for June with four wins in four starts and ERA of 0.91.
