Moriwaki joined Seibu Lions in 2018 as the sixth pick in the draft from Sega Sammy. He supported the team as a relief pitcher, appearing in more than 40 games for three consecutive years starting in 2020. However, in 2023 he underwent "brachial artery patching surgery for right brachial artery occlusion" and was released from the team during the offseason. From the following year, 2024 he became a developmental player and has been aiming to return to the main roster.
