Orix Buffaloes ・ Yuma Mune infielder has met the requirements to become a domestic free agent (FA).Drafted by the Yokohama Hayabusa as the second overall pick in 2014, this is his 12th season as a professional. “At first, I didn’t even know free agency existed, and I certainly wasn’t aiming for it. I’m happy to have earned this right. I’m grateful to the manager who gave me a chance, the coaches who taught me, and the players who pushed me to improve together,” he said, sounding deeply moved.

He has experience playing shortstop and outfield, and in 2021 he secured the starting position at third base. He contributed to Pacific League 's three consecutive championships starting that year, and was named to the Best Nine and Golden Glove for three consecutive years. This season he has only made two errors in 67 games. He is focused on the season's battles, and he also expressed his feelings for the team, saying, "I've been in Osaka for 12 years. I've been playing here since I was 18, so of course I have a lot of affection for it. I love Osaka too."
