On the 30th, Seibu Lions announced that they will be holding the "PR1DE SERIES" project during Rakuten Eagles games against Rakuten from August 28th (Friday) to 30th (Sunday) to celebrate Takumi Kuriyama 's final season together with the fans.
For the two games on Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th, a "PR1DE face towel" will be distributed to all attendees, and numerous "TEAM PR1DE ~ Takumi Kuriyama OFFICIAL FANCLUB~" exclusive events will be held over the three days of the series.
The "PR1DE Face Towel" is based on the team's color, The Lions Blue, and features a design of "Mr. Leo," who played his entire career with The Lions, wearing number "52" he wore in his younger days on Friday the 28th, and number "1" he wore for many years, leading the team, on Saturday the 29th.
Additionally, as an event exclusively for members of "TEAM PR1DE ~ Takumi Kuriyama OFFICIAL FANCLUB~," the "Glorious Path to Glory Project" will be held on the 30th (Sunday), the day of his retirement game, to send off Kuriyama with congratulatory flowers sent by fans. This will create a special space to conclude the event together with everyone. Participants will receive a "THANK YOU CARD" made from a part of a bat actually used by Kuriyama. Other events include a "TEAM PR1DE Exclusive Practice Viewing Session" and recruitment of "TEAM PR1DE Helpers (Ball Boys and Ball Girls)" from junior fan club members who are already TEAM PR1DE members, to support the operation of the games over the three days.
Furthermore, a "Takumi Kuriyama Memorial DVD," which will include previously unreleased footage, is scheduled to go on sale from late November. TEAM PR1DE members can have their names included in the DVD's end credits, and applications for inclusion will be accepted from July 13th (Monday). In addition, there will be a lottery sale of "memorabilia goods" such as bats and glove made in Kuriyama's specifications with his autograph, and "jersey keychains" made by cutting up jersey Kuriyama actually wore this season and putting it into acrylic keychains, which will also be sold exclusively to members.
After the season ends, a fan meeting with Kuriyama will be held exclusively for TEAM PR1DE members. Details will be announced later on the official website and other platforms. The membership period for TEAM PR1DE has also been extra inning until July 5th (Sunday), so even those who join now can participate in and apply for the various exclusive events.
Tickets for the "PR1DE SERIES" and other matches from August 28th (Fri) to September 29th (Tue) will go on sale sequentially starting with a fan club pre-sale lottery on July 3rd (Fri).
