Seibu Lions On the 29th, the team announced that it will hold a retirement game for Takumi Kuriyama outfielder (42), who has announced his retirement at the end of this season, on August 30 against the Rakuten Eagles (Belluna Dome).

A retirement ceremony will be held after the game, and approximately 630 members of "TEAM PR1DE ~ Takumi Kuriyama OFFICIAL FANCLUB~" will be invited by lottery to the retirement press conference scheduled for the morning of that day.

Kuriyama joined the team in the 2001 draft as the fourth-round pick from Ikuei High School. He is known as "Mr. The Lions" for achieving the 2,000th hit, becoming the 54th player in professional baseball history to do so.

On the day of the retirement game, the manager, coaches, and all players from the first to third teams will wear a limited-edition uniform, the "PR1DE Uniform," which will only be available on that day. In conjunction with this, advance reservations for the uniform will be available for PR1DE members from June 29th to July 20th at The Lions Store Online.
