◆ Pacific League 3-3 Softbank Hawks = extra inning due to 12-inning rule = (28th, ZOZO Marine Stadium)

Softbank Hawks took the lead in the second inning with Masaki's ninth home run of the season, a three-run shot. However, starting pitcher Haru Matsumoto ran into trouble in the fifth inning. He gave up a run on a double double play that was broken up with one out and runners on first and third, and then gave up a game-tying two-run homer to Yamaguchi with two outs and a runner on first.

The batting lineup missed opportunities with the bases loaded in the first, fourth, and fifth innings, leaving 12 runners on base by the sixth inning.

Although the relief pitchers held strong from the 7th inning onward, preventing any further runs, the team suffered a painful first draw of the season after giving up a three-run lead. Nevertheless, with league leaders Seibu Lions losing, the team closed the gap to just one game.
