Rakuten Eagles Eagles pitcher Takayuki Kishi (41) pitched brilliantly, allowing only 3 hit 1 run runs 7 innings to earn his second win of the season and 172nd career win. The team achieved its first four-game winning streak since manager Masato Yoshii took over.
His excellent tempo was evident from the very first inning. He strike on the first pitch to seven consecutive batters, starting with Nishikawa. Even when the count reached three balls, he remained unfazed, issuing zero Hit by Pitch. His stability was outstanding.
His fastest pitch was 142 km/h. Most of his fastballs were in the high 130s km/h, but he scattered curves, change-up, and slider in the 100s km/h to the corners of the plate, creating a mountain of weak ground balls.
