Seibu Lions, who won their first-ever interleague championship, held a victory ceremony at their home stadium, Belluna Dome before their game against the Seibu Lions Nippon-Ham Fighters on the 26th.
The ceremony began with a video compilation of memorable moments from the interleague games being shown on the back screen. Manager Fumiya Nishiguchi received the championship trophy, and pitcher Yutaro Watanabe, vice chairman of the players' association, received the prize money board (30 million yen). The coaching staff, players, and other members of the team gathered on ground for a commemorative photo. The stadium was filled with warm applause.
Additionally, outfielder Shinya Hasegawa who became the first Seibu Lions player to win the Most Valuable Player award in the interleague series, was also honored and presented with a prize of 2 million yen.
