Seibu Lions On the 26th, it was announced that the following players had been selected for the “Pro baseball Fresh All-Star Game 2026,” to be held on July 27 at HARD OFF ECO Stadium Niigata in Niigata: Haruki Sugiyama pitcher, Yamato Fuji pitcher, and the 25th-year 5th-round draft pick Sowa Yokota infielder.

Sugiyama joined Seibu Lions in 2023 as the third overall pick in the draft from Yokohama. Although he hasn't played in the first team this season, he has been performing well in the farm team, appearing in 11 games with a record of 6 wins and 4 losses and ERA of 2.85.

Fuji joined Seibu Lions in 2024 as the first pick in the developmental draft from Omiya Higashi High School. In his second professional season this year, he earned a spot on the main roster before the season started, made the opening day roster, and made his professional debut as a pitcher.

Yokota is a promising rookie infielder who joined Seibu Lions in 2013 as the 5th pick in the draft from Yamamura Gakuen. Although he hasn't played in the first team this season, he has established himself as a key player in the farm team despite being a high school graduate, appearing in 48 games and recording 48 hit At Bat 162 at-bats for a batting average of .296, 1 Home Run, and 23 RBI.
