Starting pitcher Natsuki Takeuchi complete game, allowing 7 hit 2 runs over 8 innings, but his sixth win of the season was put on hold.

He started strong, retiring the side in order with just six pitches. However, in the second inning, with no outs and runners on second and third, he gave up sacrifice fly fly to Murabayashi and an RBI single to Nakajima, allowing two runs to score. He looked dejected, saying, "I couldn't contribute to the win. It's a shame we gave up the first runs, and I wanted to stop it at just one run. It's really important not to give up the first run."

From the third inning onward, he continued to pitch tenaciously despite allowing runner on base, but he was not fortunate enough to receive run support from his teammates.
