In the first inning, with two outs and runners on first and second base, Kiyomiya Yuki hit a timely doble the right field line to score the first run. In the third inning, Mizuno led off with triple to center field, and Reyes followed with a sacrifice fly fly to center field to add another run. Nomura then hit his eighth home run of the season, a solo shot to left field. It was his first home run in a month since May 24th, and it extended the lead.

The offensive onslaught continued. In the 4th inning, Mizutani hit a two-run homer to right field, his 4th of the season, and in the 5th inning, Nomura hit his 9th home run, a massive solo shot to the second deck of left field, his second home run in two at-bats. In the 7th inning, Reyes hit his 17th home run, a solo shot to center field, his second in two games, extending the lead. Although they gave up two runs in the 8th inning, they held on for the win.

On the pitching side, Takashi Kato delivered an exceptionally stable performance. Although he gave up one home run to Polanco, he pitched well, allowing only four hit and two runs over seven innings, securing his fifth consecutive win and his seventh win of the season.
