◆ Pacific League: Nippon-Ham vs. Lotte (24th, ES CON FIELD)

In the seventh defense, Nippon-Ham made a play that warmed the hearts of their fans.

With one out and a runner on first, Matsukawa hit a fly ball toward the area marked mound. Normally, pitcher would clear the area and fielder would catch, but Takashi Kato moved almost at all and headed straight for the ball’s landing spot. First baseman Yuki Kiyomiya also tried to move toward the landing spot while holding his glove aloft.

The two stood side-by-side, raising their gloves, but there wasn't enough force for them to collide, and Takashi Kato catch the ball. They then gazed at each other, maintaining a close, couple-like distance.

Kiyomiya Yuki couldn't help but give a wry smile at Kato Taka's expressionless face. When the scene was replayed on the big screen, the stands erupted in laughter.
