Seibu Lions Holdings' 21st Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders was held on the 24th in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture.

At the conclusion of the shareholders' meeting, Chairman Takashi Goto, who is also the team owner, praised the team's efforts, saying, "Before the start of the pennant race, Saitama Seibu Lions were not highly regarded. However, in Manager Nishiguchi's second year, the fielder has steadily worked on what had been their biggest themes until now: improving the level of their fielders and hitters, and improving pitcher. As a result, the team's average batting average is the best among all 12 teams in both the Central and Pacific Leagues, and their team ERA is also the best among all 12 teams."

He then added, "In this interleague series, The Lions achieved their first championship with the highest winning percentage. We are now just halfway through. Last year, we faltered at this point as we entered the hot summer, but we will overcome that and, under manager Nishiguchi, aim for our first league championship since 2019, and our first Japan Series championship since 2008. I sincerely ask all shareholders to please give The Lions your enthusiastic support," and the stadium erupted in loud applause.
