Seibu Lions Holdings' 21st Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders was held on the 24th in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture.

Shareholders have asked regarding Takumi Kuriyama outfielder, who is entering his final season this year, “Could the team please arrange some kind of position for him so that he can remain with the club?”In today’s society, where many professional baseball players move between two or three teams, it is quite rare to find a player like Kuriyama who spends his entire baseball career with a single team. We would be grateful if you could Seibu Lions keep him on the team,” the shareholders stated, and the venue erupted in applause.

Team president Okumura commented, "He is a player who has contributed to improving the brand value of our group," and owner Goto added, "I completely agree. Kuriyama was in the same graduating class as Okawari Nakamura, and I am incredibly grateful that these two made such a great contribution as star players until they were over 40 years old."
