◆ Pacific League: Rakuten Eagles vs. Seibu Lions (23rd, Yamagata City)
Rakuten Eagles offense came together and they came back to win.
It was the third inning, and we were trailing by two runs. With one out and runners on first and second (bases loaded), McCusker hit a two-run single to center field, tying the game. Riding that momentum, the offense didn’t stop there. With two outs and runners on first and second, Murabayashi hit a two-run home run over the left-field fence (doble). We scored four runs in the inning to pull off a spectacular comeback.
The team ended its five-game losing streak with a walk-off victory in the 12th inning extra inning against the Seibu Lions on the previous day, the 22nd. This marked their first win win since new manager Yoshii took the helm.
